(Chicago) – Insider: Cook County Clerk David Orr will conduct lotteries on Tuesday to determine the candidate ballot positions in the March 18, 2014 primary election.
Candidates competing for the same office who filed simultaneously Nov. 25 at 9 a.m., the first day of candidate filing, will be included in one lottery. Candidates for the same office who filed between 4 and 5 p.m. on Dec. 2, the last day of filing, will be included in a separate ballot lottery, for the last spot on the ballot.
Anyone who filed after 9 a.m. on Nov. 25 and before 3:59 p.m. on Dec. 2 will be on the ballot in the order they turned in their nomination paperwork.
